The IWHICH 7th Floor Patient Unit at INOVA was designed to create a comfortable, efficient environment that meets the needs of both patients and healthcare staff.
As a Med/Surg Unit, the space required thoughtful furniture selection to balance comfort and accessibility. INOVA staff tested recliner and sleep sofa samples before choosing the IOA Horizon Sleep Bench—a compact option that fit the room’s tight alcove dimensions. The floor currently houses a temporary occupant, with the permanent Med/Surg team set to move in by Q2 2026.
