Mauro Porcini, Chief Design Officer at PepsiCo, is a visionary who has had a profound impact on the company’s history. Former CEO Indra Nooyi says that PepsiCo’s story can be divided into two stages: “Before Mauro and After Mauro.” At Design Optimism, Porcini shares insights from his new book The Human Side of Innovation: The Power of People in Love with People.

Dr. Bon Ku
Dr. Bon Ku is an ER doctor, teacher, scribe and host of the Design Lab podcast. He composed the original design reasoning program at a medical university, collaborated on the publication Health Design Thinking with Ellen Lupton, and was a routine guest on the primetime health TV series Chasing the Cure with Ann Curry. Sloan Leo (they/he)
Sloan Leo (they/he) is an expert in Community Design and a teacher, collaborating with nonprofit builders, design organizations, and social-change voices. He established FLOX Studio, and recently opened Community Design for Leaders, a resource for design experts wishing to guide their work towards EDI and human-centric outcomes. Sloan discusses the catalyst community can have in designing for folx across backgrounds.
