DIRTT Opens New Plant in South Carolina
DIRTT has opened a new wall-panel plant in Rock Hill, South Carolina, featuring lean manufacturing and state-of-the-art automation.
We're very excited for the recent opening of DIRTT's Rock Hill plant in South Carolina!
This state-of-the-art plant uses the latest in automation and robotics to reduce production and handling times. According to DIRTT, in one 12 hour shift, the plant can produce 900 tiles.
Why is this great for us?
It boils down to geography. Previously, a good portion of the product we ordered and used for projects here in the Washington D.C. metro area was produced in and shipped from DIRTT's location in Calgary.
With this new manufacturing location, DIRTT can continue to balance production requirements across North America, improving service and decreasing shipping times. Above all, the addition of Rock Hill contributes to reduced risk around schedule, budget, and resource availability – all key drivers in construction decisions today.
