This community college transformed their 1980s-era library space into a flexible, welcoming learning commons that gives students a space to focus and work collaboratively. Technology-focused breakout spaces sit alongside a classroom where students can work, converse and get comfortable. With modular DIRTT Power and technology embedded into walls and other surfaces, the area offers private and open study rooms, an instructional area and a more relaxed spot for students and faculty between classes. Designed by Profitt & Associates.
By integrating monitors into the walls, behind panes of glass, students can interact with digital information in an analog way. Faculty and students can collaborate in new ways with study rooms that enhance their digital assets.
